In 1940 Marseille, a small group of Americans and allies launches a daring rescue effort to help artists, writers, and other refugees escape Europe during World War II. As pressure mounts under shifting authorities, they juggle paperwork, risky routes, and personal bonds while trying to keep hope alive.
