Elite Squad

As a major religious visit approaches in late-1990s Rio, an elite police unit is tasked with reducing the threat posed by heavily armed drug gangs in nearby favelas. Under intense pressure and surrounded by corruption, the operation tests the squad’s methods, the recruits’ resolve, and the human cost of trying to impose order in a city on edge.
